My Take:
While shape Cricut Cartridges are great for scrap booking what really sets a project off is the font you use for the lettering. Which is why it’s great to have a few to choose from. The base camp cart provides you with a font that not only has beautiful letters but also ten words and phrases. While the creative features offered are rectangle, dog tag, tag, charm, shadow and shadow blackout.
Just as with most of the other font carts the letters are available in both upper and lower case. Along with numbers and punctuation marks. Though you also get words and phases like “happy birthday”, “to:”, “from:”, and “thanks” which are perfect for use in cards and other projects.
All in all this is a good crisp font which isn’t too fancy making it perfect for use in your projects. While the variety of features included give you the ability to really customize your layouts and set your projects off.

This is a great classic font! Haven’t run into any problems with it. Love the wide variety of features attached to this font.
Received this cartridge for Christmas ’08 and the font is really nice. Most of my scrapbooks have been my travels and this adds another font for adding titles to my pages! Used the kisskisshughug die cut to decorate Valentines for my Grandson’s class! It was supper easy and a 2.5 inch cut was perfect for the valentines!
This is one of my favorite cartridges!! I use it often!! It’s very versatile and looks great with just about anything!
cuts really easy. never had a problem with this fonnt! great basic font.
I, too, have Base Camp and I like to make cards using the large Capital letters instead of words, ie: U, B, etc. I love the Mickey and Friends cartridge. I have used that alot with my grandchildren’s cards. I usually make the characters really large as I can and cover them with a varnish to make them stable. Doodle Charms has so many cute little figures. I use it with Stretch your Imagination for alot of cards. Walk in My Garden is also one I use alot. I haven’t used my hristmas Cheer yet, but I am going to make my own cards again this year and will really enjoy that one. I like the Home Accents, too, the flowers are gorgeous and lend themselves to more sophisticated cards. I just bought the Blackletter cartridge and really like the Old English letters. I think I’ll use it at Christmas for a more serious note. I used the Speaking of Fall cartridge for place cards and cards alot this past fall. I’m always trying to combine cartridges and so far have had so much fun with them. Keep up the good work.
I used my friend’s cricut a couple times and the one I liked was Base Camp. Very nice and basic and clean looking without being blocky.
This is one of my first cartridges and I do like this one more than most of my fonts. Very clean and versatile.
I got this cartridge free with my cricut, but I am not really a font user. My mom on the other hand, loves borrowing mine and likes the letters.
This was my first cartridge, and I have used it many times. I love the tag and charm options. It give you many different options of letters from one cartridge. You can make differnt pages from the same cartridge, and they won’t resemble each other. A great choice for my first!
Base Camp is my ‘go to’ font. When i am not sure what to use, I always know that this one will fit the bill no matter what the project.
If you are a military spouse you will definitely enjoy this cartridge. Not only is the font nice, but so are the shapes!
I used this to make Valet parking mirror hangers with pull of tickets for my daughter’s wedding. I have used this for military pages as well. I love it.
