Mini Monograms
The thing which impacts your scrap booking projects the most is the font you choose as that sets the tone. So it’s a good idea to have a wide variety of different ones to choose from. One of the more unique font carts on offer is in the Mini Monograms Cricut Cartridge. Along with the font you also get a few different phrases. While the creative features on offer are stitched, dots, framed, letter only, shadow and shadow/blackout.
As you’d expect the mini monograms font offers both upper and lowercase letters alone with numbers. Though where it differs from other font carts is in the fact that it includes three different a’s, e’s, i’s, o’s and u’s. Another difference is that it doesn’t include a number nine so if you want that number you have to cut the six and turn it upside down. As for the font itself it’s interesting to note that some letters are more elaborate than others.
The creative features allow you to customize the font even more. For example the stitched cuts a circle or square with stitching in it. While the dots does the same thing except with dots instead of stitching. The framed feature is also interesting as it creates either a circle or square frame for your letters to go in. Though if you just want the letters without any extra stuff there’s the letter feature.
The fact that this cart offers many different ways to change the font means it will find a use in your scrapbooking projects. In fact it’s great for adding initials and names on to stuff.

I have used this Mini Monograms cartridge many times for making several different greeting cards and a little monogram adds such a personal touch! You will find many different ways to use this cartridge and the possibility’s are endless.
I just purchased this cartridge and was a little disappointed with it because I cut 1″ letter block with the dots around them and it was going to be very difficult to get all the little dots out of the blocks because they didn’t cut all the way through. I haven’t had trouble cutting anything else, so if someone has a suggettion, I would love to hear it.
Mini Monograms is one of my cassette I use the less, but is still interesting, I have lots of cassettes(14), this is my least interesting one but i have to admit that I haven’t played with it much. I’m sure I can make lots of nice things with it. After all scrapbooking is about trying new things.
this one fustrates me with all that small pieces. my cricut never seems to fully cut them out so you need to sit there and poke all of them through if your using one of the creative features. the best thing about this cart is that it has the scalloped square on it
I really do not care for this cartridge at all. I have had very little luck cutting anything out and being able to use it. I have not tried to use it on my new expressions machine yet but unless you are making a large (5 inches or so) letter or feature, I can not get them to cut out the little scallops or pop the letters out.
I find this cartridge difficult to use. I don’t like the set up of the keyboard. THere are three options for each letter – two on one key and the third on the next key. Makes it hard to type.
I also don’t care for the tiny holes that never seem to cut completely out.
This was one of the first cartridges I bought, and I have ended up never finding a use for it on any of my projects. The letters are scrambled styles and I don’t seem to get a clean cut. Of the 20+ cartridges I own, this is the only one that I regret purchasing.
