George
The george cricut cart is a bit of an oddity as it offers not only a font and a few words and phrases but also a variety of shapes. Along with sign, slotted, charm, silhouette, shadow and shadow/blackout creative features.
One of the first things you’ll notice about this cart is that along with the usual range of numbers the font only offers upper case letters. This may seem a bit limiting until you consider what else the cart includes. Not only do you get a range of basic shapes like squares, triangles and circles but you also get more unusual shapes like a heart and star. Along with the ability to cut out though and speech bubbles.
The phrases and words included are great for use in cards. For example you can use thanks for a thank you card and i love you for a valentines day card. While the creative features allow you to change the fonts look depending on the project. The silhouette makes your letters look delicate and gives a professional look to each letter you cut. While the shadow key makes your letters look more chunky
The strength of the george cart is its versatility which means you can use it in a wide variety of scrap booking projects.
Used the George cartridge over and over again – the fonts were great for Halloween cards that I did recently (which everyone that received raved about the letters on the cards). Also have used the star shapes for a page layout in my daughter’s scrapbook.
The George cartridge is versatile and there is really a lot you can do with it. The font is great for any occasion. You can make the flowers in different sizes and colors and layer them. The first cards I made with my Cricut I made flowers with navy blue, green, red, orange, and yellow cardstock layered for a rainbow effect. The “Thanks” is of course great for a thank you card. “I Love You” works well for Valentine’s Day cards along with the heart shape. The other shapes make great tags. Not too mention the ampersand, etc.
I really like the George because it’s like it says, it has a lot of basic really useable shapes and letters!

I always go back to this cartridge – it does have allthe basics and if you have the cricut desgn studio you need this cartridge! You can do so much with it!
This is the cartridge that came with my first Cricut and I have used it sooo much! The shapes come in so handy, especially the flower. Here is an example of a card where I used the flower and the letter B.
This is one of my favorite cartridges. I have used it over and over again for my scrapbooking pages. It is a great font and is perfect for my needs.
This was the first cartridge I owned and I thought it was a great starter. It offers a little of this and a little of that so it got me hooked on the cricut system.
This cartridge came with my machine. I have used it alot. It has alittle bit of everything on it. Great cartridge!
I use this one more. I only have to cartridges so far, but I use this one for almost anything. I made my own christmas cards this year and used that cartridge. Like it says, it has basically endless possiblities!
I just received my Cricut machine. It came with this cartridge. I had great success on my first try. I was able to cut out letters for a couple of words and use the shadow feature on my first try!
I really like this one too….i played with it a lot because it came with my cricut. I used to letters and shapes for my daughters baby book.
Received this cartridge with my original Cricut machine! I use this to create titles for my scrapbook pages as well as some of the basic shapes to add embellishments. Especially like to use the shadow feature with this font!

QUITE GOT CREATIVE YET BUT I SURE ENJOYED WORKING WITH THIS CARTRIDGE
IT IS FUN AND HAS A FONT THAT IS EASY AND LOOKS GREAT ON ANYTHING.
This came with my machine. I like all of the features especially the pre-set words, but wish I could do lower case letters with it as well. Still a great beginner cartridge. I’ve since purchase many others. And have more on my wish-list!
I love the george cricut cartridge.It came with my cricut machine.I love it. I made a football and baseball book for my son to display at his graduation party. My neice borrowed it to make his scapbook of pictures of graduation

this cat has one of the best fonts for everyday in my opinion, even though i have a few other carts with fonts i seem to always choose george. also has some great basic shapes on it too:)

I just got a Cricut machine 2 days ago with the George cartridge. So far I have been able to do quite a bit. It is easy to use and has come in quite handy for some graduation projects I have been working on. I have been thinking about purchasing “Life’s A Beach” soon.
I am currently off for a surgery recovery. A very good friend found out that I was interested in scrapbooking and sold me her cricut (she got the expression for xmas. lol) and loaned me her george. I really like it. I use it for most of my lettering. I plan on buying my own to keep. My 5 year old neice likes the heats and flowers it makes also. I would say everyone should have it as a basic for beginners and if you like to keep things simple and neat.
Great cartridge. Definitely would recommend. Came with my machine but I would buy it if it weren’t .
Cartridge came with Machine, haven’t used it a lot, what little I have it worked great, I cut out wording for the back of a cape. Waiting for my tags and bags cartridge to come in the mail.
George is not my favorite of the cartridges. It’s okay, but only does uppercase letters. If it did lowercase I’d be happy with it.
It came with my cricut, so was nice to get but certainly not one I’d go out and buy.
This cart has a great font. It is different than the normal font and it great for adding a twist to your layouts.
I love this cartridge best of all. Having been to Asia recently I found it tied in nicely with the asian theme and I used it so much. It is probably one of the first you should have for a nice basic font and shapes to have a play around with. Good stuff!!
George is a great for newbies like me, it’s easy to use and looks great
This was my first cartridge and I got back to it over and over again – - basic yes, but it is really a useable one – fun to try all the neat things to do with this cartridge.
It is a great overall beginning cartridge however, I wish it had lower case letters as well as caps.
This cartridge came with my cricut and it can be very versatile. It has a lot of useable shapes to it. The one thing I don’t like about it , is it does not have lower case letters. If you were doing a variety of projects this cartridge could not stand alone because of this. Otherwise I have enjoyed using this cartridge.
I have the george, its great, I also just recieved Stretch your imigination, and Home decor they are all great. There are so many things you can do with them….TIP: I have 2 wallpaper sample books, I used them for cutting out words,,It is great…Try it.. If anyone knows where I can find more books let me know ..they are great for crafting and with the use of the cricut.
I just recently bought the George and received the refurbished Circut free. I am having a blast. I just wish there were more of ME time! It is so much fun. I’m just getting started, but I know I will want to buy more cartridges, I just don’t know which ones I should purchase next! My passion is making cards. Have been going to Stampin’ Up parties and get some great ideas. I want to make some inspirational sayings for the office as well as in may home. So looking for the perfect cartridge for that.
