Fabulous Finds
The fabulous finds cart designed by Heather Lancaster is an interesting addition to the cricut cart range. As instead of just cutting out images and adding them to your card etc it contains a variety of shapes and patterns. Which are meant to be assembled by gluing together just like you used to do at school. While the creative features included are windows, jagged, inserts, stretched, shadow and blackout.
This cart contains 100 basic images which when combined with the creative features gives a lot of scoop for adding that little something extra to a project. During the exploration of the cart you’ll come across file folders, clipboards, cardholders and flip albums. Though the best thing about this cart is getting your hands dirty and using the shapes to make things. For example a photo album, greetings card or invitation.
I really like this cart as it’s fun for all the family and allows you to let your creative side go wild. It’s also great for rainy days as what child doesn’t like cutting and sticking stuff together to create things. Though of course you can just use the 100 shapes included on the cart as they are in your various scrapbooking projects.
This is a fun cart to have. I made some great Christmas handouts with the matchbook cover. Cut them at 3″, fold and put the small package of M&M’s inside. Decorate the outside cover. It is cute. Makes for great Halloween handouts too.
Now this one is great for mixed media as well. I use this cartridge for all my atc’s I make as well as for cards etc. It took me a little bit to figure out all the sizes etc…. but with a learning curve you will do just fine. Yes yes yes add this one to your library. You will find yourself grabbing this one a lot.
I have used this cartridge least out of all the ones I have. It is good for little matchbook type candy favors.
My favorite feature is the rugged/uneven edge finish that you can use.
I haven’t used this cartridge much yet, but I find it handy when you want a background for your alphabet letters. I just cut out the shape in one color and then put the letter inside. It works well and gives it an extra touch. I like the idea with the matchbox, I’ll have to try it :+)
my daughter loves this cartridge because she loves to frame pictures and with my Cricut expression you can increase the size of these to whatever you need and it’s great. She also had theatre tickets and pictures of an event that her and her son went to and she framed the theatre ticket on her scrapbook page – it looked awesome. This is a good one to have.
Fabulous Finds is one of my favorite cartridges! There is sooo much I can do with it. Of course the mini albums, totally awesome! and the tags, I love it that I don’t have to cut them out by hand anymore! I would like to see more ideas for the tags. I go blank sometimes and I am a visual person so to see ideas is a big help!!! So lady’s start uploading your ideas of how you use the tags and mini’s I need you. Remember one for all and all for one right? I personally think this cart is a must for scrapbookers!
I love the tags and the labels. I feel this is relatively easy to use, but works better on cardstock then thinner paper.
I need a cartridge that has wildlife, such as deer, pheasants, quail, elk etc. My son is currently working toward a career in archery shooting and hunting. He is all over the internet, and has some scheduled shoots with professionals. I am wanting to start a scrapbook for him. Is there such a cartridge that would work for this?
I bought this card because I found it on clearance and just couldn’t pass it up, but wasn’t sure if I would use it much. I was wrong! It is one of my favorites. Lots of different shapes to choose from and many projects to get your creative juices flowing.
