New Cricut Cartridges Added

I wanted to let you know that I added a few new carts to the site last night. These included:

Pumpkin Carving
Nursery Rhyme
Winter FrolicĀ  and
Freshly Picked
You can see them to the right under the “New Releases” heading.

I still have several more to go, but this was a start, lol!

I know it’s crazy but it’s almost time to think about getting those Halloween and Christmas carts. If we wait too long they will get real hard to find later on.

BLESSINGS!

Hi all!

I wanted to give each of you a special opportunity :-)

I am putting the finishing touches on what I think is a neat eBook titled “Sensational Summer Scrapbooking! It’s a project I’m REALLY excited about!!

Here’s the deal, I want to include pictures of some “Summer Time” looking scrapbook pages other than my own. So I want to include a bunch from my readers as well! :-)

If you have a scrapbook page that deals with swimming, summer vacations, camping, July 4th, etc (anything involving summer activities) that you used you cricut to help create then take a picture of it and send it to me VIA A SPECIAL PAGE I HAVE SET UP because I would love to see it!

Ok, so here’s the page to submit your layout for consideration:

Thanks and I’m looking forward to seeing some awesome layouts!

New Cricut Carts Exclusive to Wal-Mart?

I have had several email subscribers write me and ask me what I knew about the new cricut cartridges that Wal-Mart was carrying. I hadn’t heard much about it so I started some digging. ;)

It seems that ProvoCraft has inked an exclusive deal with Wal-Mart to offer a new line of carts called “Cricut Lite”. It looks like the cost for each cart is in the $39 range. There seems to be quite some debate over whether folks feel this is a deal or not. From what I gather these carts have one creative feature on them and 50 images. Many of them have either 4 layer images or include a two layer font.

The titles currently being offered include:

Wildlife
Varsity Letter
Sugar and Spice
Splish Splash
Slubmer Party
Savory
Meow
Lovely Floral
Live Simply
Lacy Labels
Hoot n’ Holler
Handy Man
Feeling Groovy
Dude!
Cupcake Wrappers
Chore Chart
Cherry Limeade
Celebrate With Flourish
Carousel
Botanicals
Bloom
Block Party
Billionaire
B is For Boy

Hope this helps some of you out! :)

Retiring Cricut Cartridges

It has been announced that the following Cricut Cartridges will be retiring soon! So if you want them, you had better grab them before it’s too late!

- Blackletter – Read my full review of this cart!

- Christmas Solutions – Wow, this classic is being put away. I’m not surprised though with the number of limited edition Christmas and winter cartridges they have released this past year.

- Sans Serif – The venerable font cartridge is going away

- Stamped – I never used this one much, but I know many liked it.

- Tags, Bags, Boxes and More – One of the most popular cricut cartridges ever. I guess since they out the Christmas Tags cart and a couple others, they don’t need this one.

- Printing Press – A nice clean standard font.

- Paper Pups – Are you kidding me? Ok, now I’m really sad….

- All Mixed Up – Another font cart. This was good for for “outdoors” and/or “manly” pages.

- Christmas Cheer – No Christmas in July. :( OK, that was a bad joke. I admit it….

- Makin’ the Grade – A fairly popular school lettering type of font

- Mini Monograms – Never one of my favorites but still had it’s place.

So it looks like mostly font cartridges are getting the axe. What are your thoughts? Which one will you be sad to go and future scrapbookers won’t be able to get?

July Holidays

Holidays always make great scrapbook themes and July is no different!

Of course when we think of July holidays, Independence Days comes to mind first. But there is SO MUCH MORE to July than just firewoks.

Did you know that July is National Recreation and Parks Month? This would tie in well with a lot of vacation or camping pages! July is also know as “Baked Bean Month, lol. Who comes up with these things?

Of course, who can forget the…… Read the rest of this entry
